Intervention and additional support are very important to all learners and families. Daily literacy intervention is provided through small group support sessions, ensuring students are completing targeted activities to build confidence, capabilities, and comprehension.

Educational support staff are allocated to every classroom at Darrang PS. Along with our low teacher:student ratios this support ensures those that require additional support can receive it individually or through small focus groups. 

Our Speech Pathologist, Jessica Lim, reinforces and creates an evidence based intervention program for our Junior school. This work is reviewed each term with activities centred around a phonics and sound based approach,
