At our school, Performing Arts is a vibrant, hands-on program where every student has the opportunity to discover the joy of making music, working collaboratively and performing with confidence.

Students learn through active participation, exploring a wide range of percussion and melodic instruments including hand drums, xylophones, glockenspiels, shakers and other classroom instruments. Through engaging lessons, students develop rhythm, beat, listening skills, creativity and teamwork while building the confidence to perform in front of others.

A highlight of our program is our valued partnership with The Song Room through The Bridge program. This unique collaboration brings together a Musician-in-Residence, an experienced music specialist and our school's Performing Arts teacher to deliver authentic, high-quality music education. Working alongside industry professionals, students experience rich ensemble learning opportunities that inspire creativity, strengthen collaboration and develop musicianship in meaningful ways.

Throughout the year, students showcase their learning through termly school assembly performances, celebrating their progress and sharing their talents with families and the wider school community. These performances provide every child with the opportunity to experience the excitement and pride of performing as part of an ensemble.

Students who would like to extend their musical interests are invited to participate in our lunchtime Performing Arts Club, where they can further explore instruments, experiment with music-making, develop new skills and collaborate with friends in a fun and supportive environment.

Our Performing Arts program nurtures creativity, confidence and collaboration, ensuring every student experiences the excitement of making music together while developing skills that extend well beyond the classroom.
