The Song Room at DPS

The Song Room have continued their fantastic work with our students and staff this year. Throughout the program, students have explored rhythm, singing, movement and instrumental music while working alongside experienced teaching artists.

Each session has encouraged students to step outside their comfort zones, express themselves creatively and discover the joy of making music together.

The supportive learning environment has allowed every child to experience success at their own level. Students have learned to listen to one another, work as part of an ensemble, solve problems together and support their peers.

Performing for classmates, staff and families has been a wonderful celebration of their hard work, perseverance and growth. These performances not only highlight musical skills but also demonstrate increased resilience, confidence and pride in personal achievement.
